Just wanted to say that I've posted this on Win A Book.

Let's see: we conserve water, use CFCs instead of incandescent light bulbs, compost our green waste, recycle, only own one car and buy locally. I'm now off to stumble and tweet.

One thing I do to help the environment is to work close to home. My commute is less than two miles, takes about 5 minutes and my ten gallon gas tank gets me through most of a month. Every little bit helps.

I always arrive at the grocery store with my pile of reusable shopping bags. I also shop at the farmer's market every weekend after it opens for the season.

I try to do so many things but my favourite is composting and recycling everything I can which has cut back our garbage sooo much that I only have to put our big bin out to the curb every two-three weeks...and we are a family of 5!!

I turn off all power outlets in my house when we're not using them, recycle all the used/read papers, participated in Earth Day, and erm, pass down college textbooks so that people won't have to buy them.

Well I recycle all my plastics and papers and since I've moved into my own place I've started using our green bin program to put out organics (food, paper towels, napkins, doggy poop) which has really cut back on the amount of garbage.

Just wanted to let you know I blogged about your giveaway:

What a great giveaway. I'd love to be entered for this book. What I do to save the environment, I recycle my plastic bags by using them to pick up after my dog and we use cloth napkins rather than paper. Additionally, we only do wash once per week and we use wash clothes or dish towels to clean up messes rather than paper towels.

We recycle, conserve water and energy and try as best we can to use organic or natural products in our home

I try and do as many small things as I can to help the environment, hoping that they all add up. I recycle as much as we are allowed to for our town (unfortunately only #1 and #2 plastics). We use the energy efficient light bulbs. I bring my own bags to the grocery store and if I need to use some of their plastic bags I bring them back to be recycled.

We buy as much organic products as we can and as much local products as we can. I even joined a CSA this year. we use cloth diapers and biodegradable laundry soap.

I intern with a non-profit that lobbies legislators to make green legislation a priority. We put on a solar-powered concert for Earth Day! I also make clothes from thrift store finds to cut down on clothing waste and I am a vegetarian with plans to become vegan.
